Cardiometabolic is one of the strongest categories in Trial Watch Edition 15.
This group includes five clinical programs across cardiovascular care, type 2 diabetes, obesity, respiratory decline and heart failure care delivery.
The largest study in this category is a 1,672 participant Phase 3 program testing a simplified treatment approach for heart failure care. The edition also includes a Phase 3 study of UBT251 in type 2 diabetes and a Phase 3 metformin study in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
A key signal also comes from CTX340, a first in human program testing in vivo gene editing for a common cardiovascular condition. Together, these programs show how cardiometabolic development is expanding across larger patient groups, new mechanisms and practical care models.
