The Military Medical Academy (VMA), Belgrade is one of the largest and most advanced tertiary-care academic medical institutions in Southeast Europe, with strong capabilities and infrastructure supporting clinical research across multiple therapeutic areas. As part of the Serbian Ministry of Defence and affiliated with the University of Defence’s medical faculty, it integrates clinical care, education, and scientific research, positioning it as a center of excellence in both military and civilian healthcare. From a clinical research perspective, VMA offers a highly developed ecosystem, including 26 clinics, 11 research institutes, specialized centers, and over 1,200 beds, enabling large-scale and complex clinical studies.
