Hospital Universitario La Paz, located at P.º de la Castellana, 261, 28046 Madrid, Spain, is one of the largest, most prestigious public teaching hospitals in Spain and a primary national and international reference centre. Opened in July 1964, this expansive medical complex consists of 17 buildings integrated into four specialized centers: a General Hospital, a Children's and Maternity Hospital, and a Rehabilitation and Trauma Center. Managed under the health system of the Community of Madrid, the institution operates with approximately 1,300 beds, 45 operating theatres, and a dedicated staff of over 7,000 qualified employees. It acts as the primary referral hospital for a local population of 750,000 people while managing over 50,000 annual admissions, 200,000 emergency cases, and more than 1.3 million outpatient visits.
