The Enem Govandi facility in Mumbai functions as a dedicated Bioavailability/Bioequivalence (BA/BE) Centre supporting pharmaceutical companies in the development and regulatory evaluation of generic medicines. The centre has conducted 150+ BA/BE studies and features a spacious clinical ward, including controlled-access pharmacy, counselling room with audio-video recording, emergency calling systems, recreational facilities, and dedicated nursing and laboratory staff. The centre maintains a database of healthy human volunteers for recruitment and has -80°C deep freezers with continuous data logging for plasma sample storage. Its capabilities cover BA/BE studies across multiple therapeutic areas and dosage forms, including tablets, capsules, syrups, suspensions, IV formulations, and sprays, with the ability to conduct male and female volunteer studies simultaneously.
