Basic Information
Site Overview
Hospital Nova is the largest non-university hospital in the country and the first entirely new central hospital built in Finland since the 1970s. Designed jointly by JKMM Architects and EGM Architects, the complex rejects traditional, clinical hospital layouts in favour of a patient-first configuration resembling a modern airport terminal or shopping mall, with all services organized along a broad public atrium. The state-of-the-art campus operates with 360 shared consultation rooms, 24 high-tech surgery rooms, and up to 450 single-occupancy inpatient beds configured with automated biomedical data integration.
