HUB is located in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, south of Barcelona. It offers nearly all medical and surgical specialties, with the exception of pediatrics and obstetrics. Its activities encompass patient care, research, and teaching.Together with Viladecans Hospital and the Costa de Ponent Primary Care Directorate, it forms part of the Southern Metropolitan Territorial Management Division of the Catalan Health Institute. The hospital, along with its research center, IDIBELL, is part of the Bellvitge Campus, which also includes the University of Barcelona and the Catalan Institute of Oncology. It serves as a tertiary referral center for the entire southern region of Catalonia, extending as far as Terres de l’Ebre.
