Amala Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) is a multidisciplinary medical college and multispecialty teaching hospital located in Thrissur, Kerala. Established in 1978 as Amala Cancer Hospital, it has grown into a comprehensive healthcare, education and research institution with more than 1,000 beds. The campus includes a medical college, super-specialty and teaching hospital, cancer hospital and research centre, nursing and allied health institutions, Ayurveda and Homeopathy hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. AIMS provides a wide range of primary, specialty and super-specialty services, supported by modern infrastructure including advanced operating theatres, intensive-care facilities, digital radiology and a computerized hospital information system.
