Overview
The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) is a global partnership dedicated to accelerating the development of vaccines and other biological countermeasures against epidemic and pandemic threats. Established in 2017, CEPI brings together governments, philanthropic organizations, private-sector companies, academic institutions, and research organizations to support vaccine research and development. Its work focuses on diseases with epidemic and pandemic potential, including Ebola, Lassa fever, Nipah, MERS, Chikungunya, Mpox, COVID-19, and emerging threats such as Disease X. CEPI also supports rapid-response vaccine platforms, strengthens global research networks, and promotes equitable access to vaccines. Its key objective is the 100 Days Mission, which aims to develop and make available safe and effective vaccines against a newly identified viral threat within 100 days. CEPI is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, with additional offices in London and Washington, D.C. It is a global nonprofit public-private partnership focused on vaccine R&D, epidemic preparedness, and pandemic response.
