Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Center

The Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre is a non-profit oncology institution located in Silchar, Assam, established in 1996 with the aim of providing accessible and affordable cancer care to underserved populations in Northeast India. Founded by the Cachar Cancer Hospital Society, the hospital offers comprehensive services including cancer prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment (surgical, medical, and radiation oncology), and palliative care under one roof, supported by advanced facilities such as molecular oncology labs, PET-CT imaging, and a blood bank. With a strong patient-centered and pro-poor approach, it emphasizes holistic care, community outreach through screening camps and vaccination programs, and research initiatives, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder access to quality cancer treatment.
